Along with Elite’s two map drops and patch 1.09, which adds 5 new prestige levels and in-game support for Clan Operations, PS3 users can expect a free Elite theme released exclusively on the platform.

In addition to Call of Duty Elite's two map packs released with the 1.09 patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which gives the users the opportunity to prestige 5 more times along with in-game Clan Ops, the users of Playstation 3 can receive a free Elite theme created exclusively for the PS3.

The players of Modern Warfare 3 on the Playstation 3 with the Elite option that they paid for have been waiting for these new maps and drops for quite a time now. Xbox 360 Elite subscribers received the drops on January 24th, 2012, and ever since then have received yet another drop yesterday (February 21st, 2012). In attempt to reduce the portraying of favoritism (in my opinion), Beachhead Studios is giving a free theme to all Playstation 3 Elite subscribers. On the Facebook page, it's quoted:

This is true.
However, as Chaz said, I don't think it makes up for all the 360 exclusive content they've had...

Their not trying to "make up" for the early releases for the Xbox versus the Playstation and before I say this realize that I am a user and lover of both systems and I play them both on a daily basis but anyway I feel that you have advantages when you pay that $50 a year for XBL you get in my opinion as many people would agree a better XBM or Home Page along with other things first like Xbox has had Netflix for ever, last.fm, Zune marketplace etc. and also exclusive content and the money every person pays a year pays for these contracts etc. Again I can not stress enough this is all based on opinion I feel that I get a better value when I buy an Xbox and if I had to choose I would most likely choose the Xbox although it would be hard because I play the both.

This is their compensation of all the PS3 users who wasted $50(IMO).

Well, I guess you're right when it comes to the specific topic of Xbox vs. PS3 & saving money & what gives you more, etc.
But I'm talking about MW3, or CoD in general.
However, I do see what you're saying.

Stop saying PS3 users wasted $50, we are still getting the map packs, view everything else as a bonus.
