(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Do you guys ADS or hip fire with your shotguns? Personally, I hip fire, but I didn't know ADS would actually give you a disadvantage... interesting.

I was actually shocked at the results, considering that ADS is supposed to make it more accurate. But it is a shotgun... haha. Best experiment I have done on MW3.

Your wrong.....
The pellet spread is completely random. Meaning your video is wrong and you did not do enough testing.

ADS has no plus sides when using a shotgun....hip fire all the time.
The pellet spread does not improve at all.
People have checked the PC files and found nothing.

Unlike MW2 where ADS improves the spread , in MW3 it does not. In black ops if i remembered right only two shotguns did the spread improved. On COD4 does not improve the spread.

Which is why steady aim is the best perk for shotguns.
Btw i also used shotguns enough to notice it. Steady aim ADS does not improve the spread btw......returns it to normal.

I have done multiple tests and they have all given me the same result. There still is a general direction where the pellets go. I didn't put them in the video because it would have been pointless.

That's what I said in the video, for CQC, there is really no difference if you ADS or if you hipfire (I have multiple tests recorded to prove this).

For medium range, there is a little bit of a difference. The ADS seems to make the spread worse (once again, I have multiple recorded tests to prove this).

Because in the video you never said the pellet spread is random it looked like you said that ADS was better.
But yea pellet spread does always go certain ways.
The more pellets a shotgun fires more often it groups together.

It works how it did in COD4 , bit worse ADSing with a shotgun

I don't like how they done the pellet spread in this game what makes the shotguns inconsistent.
No way to know if the pellets are grouped together enough to kill the guy or not. I don't understand why they did that maybe they never tested their game online idk.

I tend to hip fire because when I ADS, it makes looking towards your enemy so much shorter, especially when they're a player that moves around a lot when they're shooting. And it seems like when you're aiming, it slows down when you're trying to move left or right, up down, ect.

The SPAS is the only shotgun I use on MW2, and I do too ADS with it, haha. Idk why.
But as the guy said before, it's like a "quickscoping" thing, I'll aim in real quick then let go, only with the SPAS, though.

Steady Aim increases hip fire only. Aiming down sights with Steady Aim cancels it out.
Aiming down sights only helps with the Models and the AA12. The rest, stay the same.
