Earlier today, Robert Bowling released a few more details regarding the MW3 Content Collection Pack.
And along with these details, is information about what he is calling, ELITE 2.0.

In short, ELITE 2.0 is not going to be a different product, or something that you have to pay for.
Dam Amrich, better known as OneOfSwords (thanks Wondoh), simply stated that with the "reveal" of ELITE 2.0, users
don't have to worry about buying a whole new subscription or anything. The moniker is nothing more
than a way of saying there are some "significant" and "big" changes on the way. Some changes spoken of
are better integration between the game and the service.

"This is more about upgrading and revising the service that currently exists. They always promised Elite would evolve, but now they clearly have some specific upgrades in mind timed to the next game.

A second tidbit of info is in the way that this quote is worded. Obviously with November coming closer, it is
almost certain the next iteration of Call of Duty will be releasing during that time. However, from the way Amrich
chose his words ELITE 2.0, aka these "changes", won't be seen until the next Call of Duty game.

Anyway, tell me what you guys think. What changes or improvements would you like to see and which ones are imperative?

Elite 2.0= elite being free? I would hope so, since it hasn't been super amazing so far lol

They say 'Until the next game' but really, I expect the sales to go down by a lot by then, and Battlefield sales to rise considerably due to COD players leaving the series...

They should of just been straight forward and called ELITE a season pass from the start, instead they made it seem like it was something that it was not. ELITE 2.0 will need to have more than just a few fixes to their site, it will need actual content worth paying for.

Hmmm, I wonder when they'll make the Elite 2.0S :carling:

let me get this straight, Cod elite launched last year.. during that time, it has hardly ever worked. (literally). most of the time the site was down, it was buggy as hell.. we didn`t get clan operations till just recently and now they want us to give them MORE money /facepalm

Just a perfect example of what a money whoring greedy company activision is.
And i have to bring this up.. a site called battlelog for bf3.. same concept as elite, the difference is.. this site actually worked from day one.. not down for maintenance everyday.. bug free & is FREE.. unlike elite :dumb:

Groans don't do anything but did you actually read the thread?

It's just an "upgrade". And even that is a bad way to put it. But long story short, ELITE 2.0 you won't have to pay for.
It is just going to be "improvements" on the current ELITE.

Oh yeah. Battlelog for the win! Dancing

My bad, completely misread it.

+9000 on that. ELITE should have been ready out of the gate. It fell WAY below par.
