When you install the ELITE application on ps3 and start it up you will notice it says "Saving Profile" in the bottom right corner, so i checked out the Savegame Utility and i found the ELITE file, sadly it is copy protected so non jailbroke ps3 users wont be able to do this
Basically:
ELITE loads the profile from what it has on the hard drive and updates it if necessary
Jailbroke users could copy this file to their computer via FTP and then possibly mod it
Then the jailbreak user could replace the existing file but change the properties to read only - then the application can't overwrite it
Would this all be possible? - If it is possible and not posted already then please give credit where due?

I have had this Idea as well, don't think we can do much since the save is definitely encrypted...
I do have a theory....
its to get a save from an elite premium member, then copy that save to an USB (using a JB PS3)
then remove the lock(remove the lock using the SFO Editor Tool) so we can copy it again, then copy it to a non-elite member to see what happens.
(if it wouldn't work due to copying from a different player, then we would have to use xplorer to resign the save.)
I don't think we can mod much with this, asked some people in the SB like a week back and they were all negative about it working.
I'm still looking for someone with a JB PS3 to get the data.
Go to the game save data section and find a folder named something like this: NPEB00801 (should be exactly like this)
should of course be the savedata for elite, also look for "NPEB00801" in the games folder (where all apps data is stored)
Maybe we can modify the elite app data it self.
Lets just hope there's not as much encryption as in MW3...
Maybe the save data isn't even encrypted and that's why its copy locked.
(or its copy locked because it contains important data, stuff like "is the member premium" kind of values, or it can contain profile data, etc...)
But that slight chance of it not having a ultra encryption, if its not encrypted then we could change stuff.
We still need to try before we know all of that, I regret updating my jail-broken ps3 now.

there must be something they want to hide if its been made copy locked? i mean, i wouldn't copy protect anything of mine unless there was something to hide
if KaKaRoToKs makes fast progress with his jailbreak we could try to unself the elite or mw3 executable and then edit it?
