(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so heres the scoop. I was on 50mg download with 10mg upload at my last apartment now on mw2 I was a beast i could get nukes quickscoping running with UMP and generally I played really well.

When MW3 came out my gameplay turned awful i was being shot round corners and people were killing me in plain sight and I couldnt even see them yet because of lag. I went nuts and tried everything to fix LAG comp including messing with MTU QOS everything.

I moved house to a bad internet area where I get 0.8mbps down and 0.7mbps up (im screwing its awful)

BUT!!!

3 moabs since yesterday not lagging ONE BIT I feel like I have an advantage over everyone people literally run in front of me and dont see me which is what was happening before.

So to all you LAG COMP doubters IT IS there and it DOES screw good players up with decent connections and this is not the placebo effect I had hardcore gamers over for a party and everyine was like dude your internet is epic and were getting massive scores... when I told them it wasnt the good internet I had before it was awful they were like NO WAY!

I hated LAG COMP with a passion.

Now i love it... after months of lag I feel i deserve it too...

I have never doubted lag compensation.. I used to live in an area where the internet was so-so. In mw2 I was above average to good player. When we moved to where we are now and upgraded our internet I noticed that I was not as good in certain games. After doing some research it was suggested to me that the issue could be lag compensation.

I do not believe it is as large of an issue as some people are making it out to be. But it is very annoying and handled wrong.. But I mean for me it was COD so it wasn't a big loss. I just went back to other games.
I do notice it more in MW3. But I do not think they(COD developers) will actually ever address the issue properly.

And when you think about it lag compensation is a perfect example of life.. You have better internet so you are punished. IRL you have a better job and make more money so people want to tax you more.. You went to college, struggled at dead end jobs while in school. Got a nice job. Well some bum dropped out of high-school and lives off welfare which you pay for it.

Lag compensation :dumb: it should be the inverse... Punishing the players with good connections is actually the most dumb thing I have ever seen in my young 18 years life :happycry:

Then again people with good connections can use a lag switch when they're host. It doesn't affect the game that much when compared to any other title that doesn't implement lag compensation.

Yeah well i am a webmaster so a bad connection sucks.... However i just wanted to highlight that on a great connection I found it hard to win gun battles now im on a crap one its like they didnt even see me!
