In breaking news, Robert Bowling, better known as fourzerotwo to the COD community, has officially resigned as
the creative strategist for IW.

You must login or register to view this content.

Bowling has worked on several CoD titles from Modern Warfare, to Modern Warfare 3. Bowling, being the creative strategist, oversaw
multiple aspects of the games regarding weapons, perks, etc. He has been heavily criticized throughout the series from fans, but I have to
applaud him for dealing with disappointed players/customers throughout all of these years.

How do you feel about this resignation? Is it baffling? Are you happy he is resigning?
Let me know down below.

Thanks for reading!

Deep down I think 402 knew COD was dead or dying, just look at his time played on MW3, its pathetic for a IW worker. Nobody at IW listening to him since MW2 firings/resigns meant he had no point in staying.

Also to the guys not forgiving him on Last Stand, how do you know that it wasn't IW who changed their minds and added FS in and 402 couldn't do anything about that as he isn't the one who makes the game.

Live, Laugh, Game!!
He was a great asset to the CoD community. I mean who else would be the middleman and take the abuse he did. Everything that made consumers happy or rage about CoD they went to him! He will truely be missed!!

Yeah I agree. Although, I'll still be making fun of him for his mis-shaped head

You realize he has little say in the game? Right? I thought he did a great job of actually tweeting to us compared to any other community manager and especially for the size of his account.

I bet you we see him at Respawn next....

He pushed for OMA tweaks, he pushed for lag comp fixes, he pushed for what WE want...the designers/company heads just didn't listen

So before I get groaned for this post, just realize he has little-no power at IW. In fact, I believe he left simply because he wanted to fix the franchise so badly, but lacked the power to do so.

He became the blame for everything that Activision did, while he should have been the last person to be blamed for anything. Now we are going to get all the former 402 haters to start loving him and saying "Ohh, why was he blamed" and crap because they are going to realize he isn't to blame for anything.

Takes courage to last as long as he did, and to be honest, I bet the next person who comes in will be applauded for the first couple of games and then will have community hell rain upon him.

Do a barrel roll!
Thank god this guy is gone, I mean not that he has made an "awful game" (It's bad but not awful) but his lack of listening to the community and inability to add a simple LAN feature to the game to give competitive players what they need really drove me off the edge. Treyarch did it right away without question, so why can't he?
