(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The internet connection.

I live in Japan and almost everybody (me not included) have a massive connection (60mb+) and the lag compensation here works the opossite as the other countries by my experience. If you have a good connection you'll be get an advantage over the guy with a low connection, and this advantage is even "bigger" than the normal because of the lag compensation that doesn't work.

In previous COD game if you were host or even had a beast connection you would be a step ahead of the enemy, on MW3 this step is way bigger here.

I was at my friend's house and he has a BEAST connection (90mb+) if I'm not mistaken, and even when I didn't pull host I was getting just massive scores and totally dominating people, I wasn't getting shot behind walls and that kind of lag compensation bs.

I even tried different guns, different lobbies and different game modes, not matter what I played if I shot a guy he died.

Than I went and played Black Ops. DUDE! When I play it here even if I'm on a four bar connection my bullets didn't seems to hit the guy I'm shoting, but playing on a good connection Blops felt like MW2, the guns were killing so fast and it was so easy.

Now I see how good having a great connection is, sadly mine sucks and I'm stuck with it :(

Yea lets all get 90mb+ connections...

It was fine in MW2. They need to make it like it was then.

I should have saved the article but I was reading the other day and it listed the average connection speed needed in various cod modes and it averaged out at around 4mb. Which i'll believe, since i had a 5mb connection when MW2 came out and at that time the word 'lag' wasn't even in my mind. Never experienced it until lag ops :(

They really just gotta take out this lag compensation. Numbers are slim of those who have slow internet. My guess for those is that: They actually have slow internet, downloading/uploading something and unaware that it affects internet speed, or your dad is downloading teh pr0nz :carling:

Hey I swear the download speed don't matter... Technically its about how far away geographically you are from the host of your match and how strong the connection is with you router. The host is decided upon who has the strongest PS3/360 - Router connection and who is the closest to everyone else.

Lucky for you Gaspkay:

Putting Lag Comp in the game was one of the worst moves any game developer could ever do. As a result,
the good kids do bad, and the bad kids don't really gain any skill by having an aid like that.

For me it has really made MW3 more challenging than the previous CoD's. My connection is pretty shocking, but it was fine on MW2, Black Ops etc. On MW3 things just seem alot harder :p
