To all of you with an Elite subscription for the best selling first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 developed by Infinity Ward and Activision, you will be receiving four new maps in the near future (meaning May for Xbox 360 users, and June for Playstation 3 users).

The official Modern Warfare 3 content calendar has been updated again, earlier today Elite PS3 drops 4-6 were dated, to reveal that next month Xbox 360 players can expect not one new map, which what was previously confirmed along with a mission and two classified drops, but four maps to hit the platform this month. PS3 users will have access to these maps in June.

The Modern Warfare 3 Content Calendar (which can be found You must login or register to view this content.), has been updated once again. These updates were rumored to behold only one map and two classified drops for the month of May, but ended up being confirmed for all of you to be receiving FOUR new maps.

Keep in mind that two new maps will be released for Xbox 360 this month, next month for PS3 owners.

If you haven't clicked the link above leading to Wondoh's thread regarding the calendar, here's a list of updates:

  • January: Pizza and Liberation
  • February: Overwatch
  • March 13th: Black Box (Map), Black Ice (Mission), and Negotiator (Mission) – April 12th for PS3
  • March 20th: Non-Elite Gets the six drops above under the label “content collection #1.” (PS3 and PC owners should get this collection at some point this month.)
  • April: 2 Maps
  • May: 4 Maps
  • June: 1 Map, 1 Mission, 1 Classified
  • July: 2 Maps
  • August: 1 Map, 1 Mission, 1 Classified
  • September: 1 Map, 1 Mission


But remember, according to the Content Calendar there's 22 drops, but it has been confirmed that there will be 24 drops in total!

I haven't been on MW3 in a while, but this might be enough to get me to play it again. I'm looking forward to seeing what the four drops are.

I haven't been in MW3 since a while but this won't make me play it again maybe I will play CoD in the next title if I buy a X360.

I have Elite for PS3 also and i still haven't played overwatch, I'm not even going to bother until they release the maps for everyone or sort out the Elite playlist.

Maybe since they just added the maps in we could see some previous maps return?

Thanks for the post, I hope the maps are as good as the first 3. (Not got Black Box or the Spec. Ops missions yet)
