The trial between two popular companies, Activision and Infinity Ward, has been set for May 29th, 2012. The original trial was set to take place on May 7th, but was postponed upon Activision's request, for unknown reasons (of course).

Three separate lawsuits have been intertwined into one trial. These lawsuits include, Infinity Ward co-founders Jason West and Vince Zampella stating that Activision owes them a substantial amount of royalty payments, and also a group of Infinity Ward employees suing due to not being paid bonuses as promised.

Both West and Zampella allege that Activision has "put off" giving them payments that were for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, by firing them. And along with this, around 40 Infinity Ward employees are asking for bonuses in which Activision postponed to force them to stay at Infinity Ward.

The third lawsuit will also include Activision against Electronic Arts, saying that EA claimed to have "conspired" with both West and Zampella to cause serious hardships for the Call of Duty franchise in one way or another.

After being cut off from Infinity Ward, West and Zampella have migrated towards Respawn Entertainment, which will be releasing their first title published by EA, and is rumored to be deployed sometime in 2013.

What do you guys think? It seems as if a lot of Infinity Ward employees are shoving their way to Respawn Entertainment, such as West and Zampella here, along with Robert Bowling (which is rumored), who is Infinity Ward's former Community Strategist.

i think cod games need to finally die cause people ruin them , so may the lawsuit make Activision think of how pushing customers and employees off like they do now can have adverse effects and long term more money loss then doing the right thing

Well you're doing a great job Winky Winky

I think we will see Robert Bowling pop-up at Respawn eventually, maybe as they get closer to finishing the game they are making.

I hope so. He was trying to make MW3 better for the community and his ideas were rejected by Infinity Ward and few days later, he quits. Hope to see him at Respawn Entertainment
