Plus they then made it more powerful by protecting you from EMPs and CUAVs. So it is overpowered and you're a bitch if you use it.
I do get it but i still don't believe its that big of a deal, i don't know many people that use EMPs nor do i find it annoying if i Counter UAV someone and they can still find me since to counter that you just silence your weapon if you had half a brain. and i'm glad it stops people from getting you with portable radar and heartbeat sensors as MW2 was full of dirty little campers who sat with their heartbeat sensors waiting for you to come to them. To be honest i'd rather have protection from air support in that perk than radar/emp/heartbeat and CUAV any day as i alway have Scav since its the best perk for the 1st set of perks.
To also make my point even more so, that no crosshair or name thing your bitchin about? seriously it doesn't help at ALL, people can tell that your not on their team by the fact you don't have a name or by the fact your shooting them, it only really helps you at all if your lying on the ground playing dead.
The only good thing assasin does is protect you from Thermal which if your a good sniper it just means your harder to spot. Assasin is IW fix for camping, it makes campers using sensors and detectable stuff fail hard. If anything you should praise the fact that there aren't as many campers in MW3 as opposed to Mw2.
