I just wonder because it seems that the semi auto phase has died out, COD W@W being the height of the "trigger finger" skillfull era.

What are your thoughs on the death of the trigger finger, and do you miss the old days of the you shoot the gun instead of "hold button till guy dies"

I'm have to try your M14 test, but I doubt I will be able to get up to 625 RPM. I would be surprised if I could, because I don't use Semi-Automatic weapons very often. I think I need more practice :p

Yeah its hard to show but you will know as when you fire no bullets will come out for a few seconds, so it just looks like your not firering.

However 600 is not that high.....800-1000 is higher. Most of the handguns in MW3 can go that high....
P99 is the highest ROF handgun in the game 1200

I have a good trigger finger and can do 800-1000 easy, one strange thing is PS3 i can do it far easier than on xbox.
Would be nice to test how good my trigger finger is.

Do you use R1 or R2 to fire? You can change them around. I find it hard to do with R1, its much easier with R2.

900 RPM is 15 bullets a second
1200 RPM is 20 bullets a second

So basicly if you fire at 850+ you can empty most of the pistols in 1 second of shooting, thats a hell of a trigger finger

It why pistols are quite nasty in this game..
It taken me ages to get a good trigger finger



Standard controller setup so that is R1 for PS3.
Xbox it would be R2....maybe that why

Most likely the reason you can't shoot as fast on Xbox which is exactly what happened to me is that the trigger on the Xbox, you have to push it down so much farther for it to pass the sensor but the PS3 is just more of a button.

Yeah you can switch on xbox, its in the button layout options. On xbox it will make it exactly like ps3 controls im pretty sure.

the 50 cal can shoot pretty darn fast but those bullets will spread so far apart theres no point
