(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys

Were all serious gamers on here and recently I have been trying to make an income from playing cod. I use adsense and have tried to make websites with my gameplay or tips etc and have had 'some' success. I have also tried to build a youtube channel and get partner status but thats going real slowly.

My question is how many of you make money from the love of gaming? Anyone actually make a full time income yet?

I assumed RSPprod would be making good money from youtube vids but i just found a thread on google forums where someone called "rspproductions" is complaining about a massive income drop.

FYI making gaming content and using adsense is hard as the advertisers only pay like 10c per click. Just wondering if there are any other ways

I have 29 days gameplay on mw2 and 21 on mw3?

Or is there some sort of system on mlg to reach pro level? Also you don't need anything new per se just good information re written in your own unique style. For example I found a taxi grenade glitch on hackforums for mw3. I couldnt find it anywhere else and I released the vid on my site. Google ranked me no.1 for taxi grenade mw3 and I got a bunch of traffic.

Problem is games traffic pays really low with regard to advertising clicks =[

If you were to get sponsored by mlg is it like good money I am talking like support your family quit your job money.

We all would like to get money to play video games all day, that would a dream job, unfortunately it is a hard thing to accomplish.

If you want to make it a full time job and not join any know MLG clan, you should put a lot of work on a YouTube channel and it might not pay off but there is a chance.

What I like to see on a gaming channel is personality, everybody does tips and tricks or hidden spots and glitches, but they eventually run out. It you have decent to amazing gameplay and a great personality you will be successful on YouTube, it might be hard nowadays with the huge saturation of gaming. Hannels but in the end it will pay off.

But if you are trying to make a living of YouTube and start today, I don't think it will be viable for sometime. You could hold your own if you had a 100.000 subs channel and a good amount of them watched and liked your video. Again, I don't know if that's accurate, I'm just assuming by watch I see and heard of YouTube partners.

Competitive gaming means you need to practice in a competitive environment. Which is why alot of COD pros play alot of their time in private matchs.
To reach MLG pro your need to complete a series of competitions with a team and enter the bigger ones if you are good enough.
It not a stable income unless you win alot or have people behind you.

Current gametime most would be needed to come from scrims

As for making money off videos you got to have your own band and something different to make any real money.

either be the most entertaining commentator ever, or post the best gameplay ever, and that's probably daily 100+ kill games or double moabs or daily 60-90 second moabs, with occasional triple moabs and such, otherwise your commentary will have to be legendary to get noticed ^_^
