The studio’s official site reads: ”We have molded our team into a crack squad of eager developers ready to push the First Person Action genre in support of Activision’s Call of Duty franchise.”

The announcement doesn’t specify whether it’s a standalone title or if the team has partnered with either Treyarch or Infinity Ward to work on the series. Rumors surfaced awhile back claiming that NeverSoft were working on a futuristic sci-fi shooter, so this may point to the developer getting its own Call of Duty title.

The safest bet, based on its size, is that it has joined with one of the other teams to either work on this year’s Black Ops 2 or Infinity Ward’s entry next year.

You don't have to be a awesome studio to make a cod game. Hell look at IW all their people who were worth anything at game production left them, and they made mw3 with the assistance of a company who had never worked on cod before in 1 year.

I have good memories with neversoft...
I loved their skating games.
I wonder how they will do with a FPS, but seeing as they will probably work with Treyark, Activision or Infinity Ward, it will surely be an amazing game!
Can't wait until they release a COD game like that.
