(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); NeverSoft–famous for developing the Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero games–has revealed it is now working on the Call of Duty franchise.

The studio’s official site reads: ”We have molded our team into a crack squad of eager developers ready to push the First Person Action genre in support of Activision’s Call of Duty franchise.”

The announcement doesn’t specify whether it’s a standalone title or if the team has partnered with either Treyarch or Infinity Ward to work on the series. Rumors surfaced awhile back claiming that NeverSoft were working on a futuristic sci-fi shooter, so this may point to the developer getting its own Call of Duty title.

The safest bet, based on its size, is that it has joined with one of the other teams to either work on this year’s Black Ops 2 or Infinity Ward’s entry next year.

Is NeverSoft a good addition to the franchise?

Well my first guess is they are partnering up with Treyarch and working with black ops 2 or I could be wrong because Mw4 could be under development right now to. So I guess we will wait and find out.

Well Activision is an umbrella for Neversoft isn't it? I recall seeing Activision logos every time I loaded up a Tony Hawk game.

But what the hell are they going to do? Make them some ramps and a skateboard killstreak?? :carling:

Well, at least with them working on MW4, we'll have a good movement base. I mean getting stuck on grass is annoying. Apparently the new IW doesn't know how to code walking.

I'm so going to go look for my PS1 and play some TH3.
