Mark Rubin (You must login or register to view this content.) has been tweeting about it returning. He said that Infinity Ward have the map ready and are hoping to release it, but the issue is that Activision are still 'on the fence' about it, he also said that if they were to release it, it would be separate from the elite drops and most likely free.

That is one tweet saying they are ready, there was another one saying that Activision was undecided about it but I can't seem to find it anymore.

One other thing I found when looking at his tweets is that Infinity Ward will be doing a 'Balance Pass' for weapons in a few weeks time, this could be quite interesting and might change the game.

The M16 can be simply buffed by taking away the sway and increase the damage on it. So that it is actually a 3 hit kill not just if you hit the upper body.

m16 buffed will be exactly like type95.

Activision is such money whores they dont want to give out 1 free map to everyone

lol so true,they should make a classic cod4/mw2 content drop for free.who wouldnt like to see maps like highrise,terminal,favela,wasteland,rust,etc.? but i doubt it since activi$ion are money whores

Good news on the Balance Pass for weapons.

The CM901 is a good weapon if you put the correct attachments on to it, its quite steady if you are good with it, I went and got 2000 Kills with it in 1 Prestige, so it can't be that bad of a weapon. The M16 on the other hand is terrible.
And WTF map was shipbreaker? Did he mean to say Shipment? and I don't want classic maps back, I want new maps to play!

I'm exited for Terminal if it does get released. I would love to play FFA on Terminal in MW3 :p

As for the M16 balancing issues, I have always favoured the Type 95 simply because it was better. It would be nice to have a better chance when using the M16, and I would use it more if it was buffed.
