This will only help when browsing the internet it has nothing to do with gameplay. If you want to reduce lag i suggest you disable media browser in your network settings then assign your ps3 a static ip then place that in your routers dmz, also disable theatre mode in mw3 game settings.

The only thing I'm using is an Ethernet cable that goes from my modem to ps3. No lags yet. :-)
