iw can dish out anything from a 24hr ban to a permanent ban, heres a list of options they can use.
This is how much we know right now.
• 24hr ban (not seen in action)
• 2 Day ban (common, usually for boosting, reported incidents)
• 10 Day Ban
• 5000 (temporary) ban (requested to be reviewed manually by IW)
• Permanent (console) ban (not seen in action)
• All Reset
Ban Log

Offtopic Information
Q: Will i get banned for just XP?
A: Yes, no matter how much is given you will get banned sooner or later.
Q: How does IW work their system out?
A: well, it can be instant or the 3-warning rule.
Q: will i get banned if i dont kill anyone and just kill myself?
A: many people have come back and said it prevents a ban, but you will receive a ban once they find out.
Q: Will any other mods get me banned?
A: yes, maybe not all of them but most will, same as the XP.
Q: is there a way to unban myself?
A: there are ways but have not been found yet.
Q: does Perma ban only affect my account?
A: No, its a console ban. (not 5000 day temp ban, thats an account)

1. I made qn error, it should be 2 instead of 3.
2. This thread is targeted to the people who are hosting them, iw can do something simular to what treyarch did, you are right about the proof part though.

How are the least likely to get banned? Sure the get no kills but I am sure that they can see who is host in every match.

im banned under the account of multiman_eboot for hosting lobbies, some one reported me cause i would not invite them.

sooner or later? you are letting me think that IW is Treyarch LOL
if treyarch are the security team of mw3 or just helping mw3 you would not see any hacks or any kind of cheating
black ops was on 3.55 cfw days .. we done the eboot hack .. no one lasted more than 2 days .. then bom, console banned
and 3arc kept black ops 100% secure from any kind cheating more than 12 months!
and make sure that 3arc was the first to give bans. as the first ban was on black ops..
if black ops was on 3,55 cfw days and it was first company that applies bans.. it was so secured .. black ops 2 will come without cfw is out .. so let me guess .. black ops 2 will not be hacked? even if its hacked can we last more than 1 day without a console ban?

I trust your judge in this I played xp hack yesterday & left mw3 running while I was taking care of photoshop stuff after 2 hours I wanted to join multiplayer just 2 found an error saying that all mw3 servers are not available please try again later with the following link [url]www.callofduty/mw3[/url] states etc..... same error happened many times this error also appeared on b.op & I never tried any or joined any modded lobby,hack there
