That's because Activision remembers you all for your spectacular devotion to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and wants to reward it. At least, that's the way we like to think about it, although we suspect the real decision probably involved words like "bespoke", "convergence" and "segmentification".

The beta will launch this month, we've previously been told, although how long it will last and what you'll be able to do on it have yet to be announced.

We're also told that you will be guaranteed access to the beta if you pre-order the game from GAME in the UK, and that you can do this right now. The full thing is due out on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, PS2 and DS from14th November.

Apparently the don't care enough about PS3 owners to reward them...

If this is true that would suck.

I hope they does these for MAG and other big games coming out next year.
