I think I got somewhere between 28-32. I forget but I 75% sure we got to at least level 30. We kept camping the same room and on my first try on the random box (first weapon I bought through the whole game because I used pistol for rest) I got a flamethrower and the 2nd was a laser gun. My friends got lucky once in a while getting Heavy Machine Guns so we camped the HELP room without the stair case opened up there.
