I was writing a response because I saw a few people back in May and a little earlier wondering if this worked since there was speculation about it not working so I went to post and found out I couldn't because the thread was too old. There were quite a few people saying they were going to test it but never did and if they did never reported on their findings so I took it upon myself to check it out since the Veteran trophies are holding me back from this platinum and this is what my response was before I found out it was too late:

"I know this is an old thread and has fallen back a few pages. I stumbled upon in from Google. There seemed to be people who said they'd try it but never reported on it so I just tested it out seeing as Veteran on WaW whips the hell out of MW2 making this a tougher plat to get. From the looks of it the first response was right. Damage modifier for Veteran was still there but the AI was little quirky. This definitely took the edge off of the Veteran difficulty. Granted I only just completed Little Resistance since I had gotten stuck there many months ago. I just gave it a shot doing this and boom I got a trophy for it. Maybe I'm just crazy and went ape shit one the Japs in this mission but I feel like this definitely made the Veteran difficulty more bearable. Hopes this helps anyone who may be interested still. Smile"

Once again sorry if I am beating a dead horse but there still may be a few people out there interested in this. I know I was so maybe I'm not alone.

Oh and also I found a tutorial on Cheat Code Central that instructed me to eject the disc while you're loading the level up on recruit at about 33% (but I'd just make sure it doesn't reach 50%).

BTW if anyone disagrees maybe I just had a good day on WaW's ridiculous Veteran missions and I apologize. If that's the case then speak up and I'll have this closed. If not then happy trophy getting. Smile

Well I looked it up and found it at the following site:
You must login or register to view this content.

The paragraph on it reads:

"Easy Veteran Mode:

At the mission selection screen, choose a mission on the Veteran difficulty. After the first checkpoint, save the game, and quit. Go back to the mission selection screen, and choose the same mission, but change the difficulty to Recruit. While the mission is loading, you will see a white bar at the bottom of the screen. When the bar reaches approximately 33%, eject the disc or go to the Xbox Live Dashboard. Then, reload the game, and select "Resume". You should now be playing the mission on the Veteran difficulty, but with Recruit AI.[/i]"

So keep in mind you can't play it like recruit sprinting and destroying everyone. Since the damage modifier is still set to Veteran they still take you out in a couple shots. But I find this cuts down on the ridiculous amount of grenades the enemy throws at you. So using this I was able to make it all the way to "Burn 'em Out," which was a big improvement from my first attempt at Veteran never making it past "Little Resistance." I would have kept going but I have come into a copy of the God of War Collection and have jumped on that at the moment. Sorry it's not an all out guide like you may have hoped for. I'd also like to add. I do this for everyone mission rather than once and continue playing. I'm not sure if the glitch holds cross missions like that and I haven't wanted to take the risk to try it, so just to be safe I'd continue doing it for each mission if you're interested. Smile
