There are times there are 25.000 people online(PS3), but only 4000 of them are actually playing online and the rest probably nazi zombies or co-op online or something. I know this game has alot of flaws with the MP40 being overpowered and juggernaut/martyrdom/second chance and everything but I do still enjoy this when I get bored of MW2 or COD4.
I really think people that haven't bought this game because they "heard" it sucked, that they should buy it. Because it doesn't suck. It has flaws, but that's the same with MW2. So I really advice you to buy it and try it.

PS: If someone could tell me if xbox 360 has more players, that would be nice.


EDIT: It also get's played alot less because there aren't any good glitches found for it. I search youtube and I only get patched stuff.

I think there will always be a decent number of people playing [email protected] mean, there are still people playing Halo 2, and Halo 1 for that matter, even Duke Nukem 3d. I think the numbers might decline a bit, but there will almost always be a group of people playing.

There's a good and simple reason why no one plays it: The mechanics just don't feel as good as CoD4 or MW2. That's why I think Black Ops will fail

I doubt thousands of those 20.000 something people are in co-op lol, nobody plays that anymore.
Der Riese usually has about 2000 players, Shi No Numa 600, Verrückt 200 and Nacht Der Untoten 1500. So 4300 people are usually playing Nazi Zombies, then you have maybe about 100 people in co-op and the rest is just playing online, probably alot of them are just inactive in the lobby, I have that alot too, just being in the lobby while also on my PC or something.
Also numbers will probably decline more when BO is released. Before MW2 was released 80.000-90.000 players were on WAW daily (I checked it a week before MW2's release) SO about 50.000 of those have left for MW2, if BO has new Nazi Zombie levels another 10.000 or so will leave WAW, but there's also new players coming in everyday, just look at peoples ranks occasionally.

@goldberg if u highlight core/hardcore/map pack thing on online u will see like xxx/4000ish.. that means there are 4000 total playing online multiplayer mode.

Yes that's right but I don't think those stats are real man. I can't remember what it was but I think I counted all of those things (the max amount for the gamemode) and it wasn't that much, it would mean like only 2500 people can play lets say Headquarters at the same time, it makes no sence I doubt it's real, and I hope it's not real. COD WAW is one of my favorite games this gen.
