Post: Call of Duty 5: World at War - Leaderboards

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was thinking about how everyone hates on the leaders of call of duty. There isn't really a true #1 because the laederboards don't reflect skill. The leaderboards are all about what gamemode you play and how much timeplayed you have. In world at war there are many glitches that have been used to increase score, kills, kdr, and kill streak. I think infinity ward should really put more thought into the way stats are kept, because stats and leaderboards are a big part in making a good online expierience.

Here is a list of what i think is needed:

1. A new ranking system - There are several ways of doind this, they could make it so only the best players can reach the highest level. Or what i think would be better is, keep the ranking and prestige system, but add in a skill level. If anyone has played Battlefield: Bad Company, i would like it to be like that. At a certain rank say the end of the first prestige you get s number beside your name, and can see a number beside everyone elses. 1 being the very best (only one player in the world can have it) and 50 being the worst.

2. Accuacy leaderboard again - With a small variation, to get your name on this leaderboard you have to be at least lvl 65 or 55 no prestige. This would stop the problem of low levels with on shot fired and one hit from being at the top.

3. Score leaderboard - They should expand how this is kept. Keep the overall score leaderboard the same, but add score leaderboards for each gamemode.

4. Score per hour - I think they should add this so, we can see who is acually the most skilled in getting points instead of having someone who has 31 days played but may not be the actual best player . As with the accuracy leaderboard you will have to be a certain rank to be on this board to prevent second accounts from playing 1 second of search and destroy getting one nade kill and being #1 on this leaderboard.

5. Kills - Keep the overall kills leaderboard. They also need to add a top kills in each game mode.

6. Kills per hour - This would be the same as score per minute but with kills.

7. Kills to deaths ratio - This is fine as it is but, maybe add a leaderboard for this stat and have the same restiction on rank as accuracy, score per hour, and kills per hour.

8. Wins - somehow need to change joining a game late and getting that loss for it.

Team Ladders

There are many internet sites that have teams ladders and match finders, but what if infinity ward put it in there next game. If they do i think they could make a new Playlist sytem that one you are in a party of 6 and all are registered for that team, you can then find the gamemode you want just as if you were playing alone or uncompetitive in public. If this was added and organized pro[erly then you could even gain expierience while playing with your clan, because it wouldn't be a private match.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This would solve a lot of problems in my mind, maybe create a little more respect for other players that you dont know. It would create a funner expierence for me because I would be able to see my progress better and my real skill level versus the world. Players that dont have the time to play enough for a high place on the leaderboards or for people who just donnt want to have to put in the time to get a high spot.

You may think it's just a videogame, why do we need this. Im a very competetive person and we dont need it but it would be fun if we had it.

he was obviously talking about COD4 too, because he said level 65 or 55, which means both Call of Duty games. And I think it's a pretty good idea.

well he actually talks about the WaW glitches needing to be fixed by infinity ward and infinity ward has nothing to do with WaW. People will ALWAYS find a way around the system so whats the point of making a new one? Waste of time...

i dont understand really how the ranking system in point 1 would work, but other than that, they sound like good ideas. Hes not talking about. Hanging the system, hes talking abou adding new leaderboards. It would be cool if you could compare this many stats with your friends. And you dont need to call him an idiot just because he had an idea that you don't like.
