Nope. You'd have to decompress the .ipa file first. Unless you know the secret, that not many know (I know it) , you won't be able to decompress it without Apple's SDK, and then you have to learn the coding.

Seriously, it's much more fun and you get a better sense of accomplishment when it's done properly.

As far as I know, if they work like IPSW (iPod/iPhone update files) files then just rename it from .ipa to .zip

That's IF they work like IPSW files which can be renamed to .zip and decompressed.
