If you need confirmation on this go to xbox live dashboard and go to events and look at cod world at war events.

Right below welcome tab and above the inside xbox one
move over two to the right when on it and click on cod waw events
move over one to the right and there you go

Yeah I can confirm that this is gonna happen. We get Double XP starting the day the map packs is released and it runs until the 25th. I'm so happy.
