Don't worry lol we all start somewhere.
Anyway it needs to be an online match for you to get xp. This is a measly way to stop people from just rocketing up the leaderboards. Its not that hard to get all your friends into a real match though there are two ways, one is to get either 4,6 or 9 people into a party(depends on your match type)then they search for match then find an open lobby and then invite all your other friends. Thats the simplest way.
