(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); so i read a while back that there was a way to update to what ever firmware and still be able to change the patch by backing it up to a flash drive and changing them by restoring what ever else patch you have backed up. so ive been baking up a bunch of patches and saving them like how i think i remember it said. so i went to test it out for a w@w patch an i went on zombies an my map packs were gone. i ftp'd back into my ps3 an it said i still had them installed. so i tried restarting my ps3 an all this anything to get them to work again. my question is when i update will i have to redownload the map packs and get stuck with the crappy patches or wheni go online will they be reactivated.or do you guys know where that thread is cause i cant find it.
+rep to anyone that can help.

When you delete your patch data or replace it, You delete your map packs. Just go to the PSSTORE and Re-download it.
