Playing offline in split-screen (with the internet cord unplugged), when that thing kills you, you lay on the ground on your back but the black screen doesn't happen nor does restarting back to round one.
It also speaks and says 'Now I've got your soul' (assuming it speaks after it kills you)
The game thinks I'm still alive and I cannot be revieved, so if the other player gets killed by this thing then the game freezes on that round, if the other player doesn't die from that thing then you will respawn the next round. (So, overall if the player that gets killed by that thing, never comes back but lies there on the ground.)
Side note: Zombies will also get killed by that thing, assuming when it 'jumps' when it's on the ground it'll kill them and kill the zombie(s) like you (the zombies will move there heads around after getting killed by it). As if they were stunned.

hmm very intresting thanks for that.. but have you also noticed that when the hell hounds spawn a voice says 'Fetch me a soul!'
