same thing happens to me. im pretty sure its to do with your internet plan eg. d/l upload speed and also your phonelines/ cables. perhaps upgrade to faster plan or re-wire. +rep if this helped plz

It could also be your port settings, when I have my PS3 set as the DMZ and im host everythings fine, but if its not i can join games but dont get anyone in when im host.

Its because your connection is too slow. This happens to me aswell. Someone with a faster connection please post if ppl join if you don't believe me (which you should)
