So far we have a bundle of numbers and a little bit of text, but thats all, if you have any alternative then please comment.

Ok, I have found out some parts of it are L337 as the bit in the code says 'Copy' in leet just like this: CºP¥

Oh and most of its alt codes, we are working at this 15/7 to crack the alt codes.

I have a suggestion for you mate, before you go too far with the decoding I would attempt to transfer a modified game save back to the Playstation console. I have found that once the file has been modified it becomes "Corrupt" and unusable when placed back onto the Playstation console.

This might not be the case if the file is modified using the same coding... The file could of been protected to corrupt if any incorrect data formats are found within the file.

I myself am trying to find a way around this by connecting my Playstation 3 2.5 hard-drive to my desktop PC and therefore the file is not leaving the hard-drive and being replaced it is simply being modified. This may not change the result (Corruption) but at least it is a step towards trying to find a solution.

I will be spending time over the next week or two trying to decode it. So hopefully between us we can come up with something that may lead to a breakthrough.

Right mate that’s bollocks, it can be modified we just have not figured out how yet, anything that has been created/written can be modified. The only thing that stops people modding is good security (Encryption etc) but even the best security can be broken it just takes time.

And as far as them not using command lines... how do you think the game knows how many bullets to give in a gun, how much damage to give from each gun, how high to allow a player to jump etc... It’s programmed and coded... that coding CAN be changed it’s just a matter of beating/bypassing the security put in place.

So please don’t open your mouth and insult people without knowing what you are talking about.

yeah good luck but be prepared for a long time decoding because the ps3 (unlike the xbox 360 even though i prefer 360) is going just update it and you might have to start over.
(I don't know anything about decoding or modding so don't hate me)
