Is you're ps3 on 3.55 firmware (or lower)? No, so nothing.

you need to have a custom firmware ps3, now in order to do this u need to know what firmware you ps3 is on. ok, get ready here comes the tricky part wich only like 5 out of 5 people can do right, i know it's that tricky, u go to ur ps3. turn it on. pick ur user. then go to settings on the top left side of your screen. then scroll, yes thats scroll, down to system settings. then press x. go to system information. then look and see if it says 3.55 on ur current firmware or something. if it doesn't then ur out of luck. but if it does then ur in luck. go to google type in "KMEAW cfw download" then grab a u s b "stick". no it is not a real stick so if u don't know then google it. on ur u s b "stick" make a folder called PS3 then inside that folder make another folder called update. now put what u downloaded on in to that folder an follow the rest on youtube. now i know ur probably like holy crap world's hardest tutorial, right? well it is i mean once again only like 5 out of 5 people can do this and the 5th guys a retard so yeah its hard.

im on 3.55 firmwear and jb and have patches just cant figure out all the steps to get it to work. im on blackbox and filezilla. any help? cant find file patch_ff under my game (waw)

in mine its, hdd0, what ever region yours is i.e 354 is mine then go to english folder then put over write patch_mp.ff with the original one there then transfer to 3.66/3.70

I dont have the patch_ff file in my game data. is that because i dont have any map packs on that ps3?

I got the same prob. No patch_mp.ff in usrdir to overwrite so I get a error when trying to load multiplayer

Make sure when you open USDIR, you then need to open English. Then drop the patch in there for it to work.

well first you want to get game data for whatever game you are wanting to mod...then just go to your hdd0 then find your region (its on the side of your game) Once you have do that find your patch and overwrite it with the new modded patch.

Step 1; Delete your COD5 patch from your PS3 (go to game data utility and press triangle on patch, select delete)
Step 2; Load up COD5 and it should ask you to update, download the patch
Step 3; Navigate to hdd0/game/(DISC ID number*) e.gBLUS30192/USRDIR/english" and look for patch_mp.ff, overwrite patch_mp.ff with your modded patch.
