Yup, I do that sometimes. And you can make it easier for your team if you have betties too, by planting betties in those corners so they can only spawn in one or two spots instead.

I had a k/d ratio of around 0.95 for a very long time until I bought a pair of Turtle Beach headphones (google it) and i'm now up at the 1.75 mark.
Once you have the headphones set up, you need to adjust the 'game' sound options to dull down the music/cinematics etc and pump up the SFX.
Not only can you hear footsteps etc a lot clearer you can actually hear which direction the sound is coming from... An obvious advantage for modes like Hardcore S&

Generally, the way to have a kill to death ratio of above 1 is to get 1 kill to every death, but honestly that's for instance 10kills 10 deaths in a match and if you're getting worse than that then you are terrible at this game. Anyone with a ratio of less than 1 should just put the game down and not play it again.
