I changed over to wired connection and it is still happening! Is it because there are too many people on the net in my area or is it just my internet provider slowing me down??? When im in a game with freinds theyre connection is fine (So its not hosts connection).any help is much appreciated and thanks in advanceSmile

I HAS PET PENGUIN PLOX?
Is it just you using the internet at the time then? Or do more people jump onto your connection?

I think it might be so many people on the net in my area because tonight (and most nights) at about 9-10ish i start to get my connection back. Maybe because people are going offline and to bed?? Thanx anyway

well first is your wireless network secure or are other people using your internet around you thats a problem then i had an old router its was a B not a G so it gave me good connection when it felt like and then my other peoblem was i was to far away from the router but if i played wired i was fine until at night like you said so i would say its most likely your router is junk and you might want to upgrade or trash ps3 and 360 that helps toHappy

I agree you should check that your network is secure but having seen this problem time and time again its far more likely that your problems stem from your ISP limiting your transfer rate to enable their servers to cope with demand at peak times.

I don't know who your ISP is but AOL are famous for this trick.

If this turns out to be the case, I'm afraid the only way to resolve it is to switch providers. (Sky are one good, affordable option)

Hope this helps

Do a barrel roll!
that is like the peak internet usage hour, my service provider (virgin media) has boundaries of 4pm - 9pm as the peak time zone of bandwidth usage and the top 5% of downloading during that time period will have their speed cut to 1.5mbps (depending on what package you are on) from 10mbps
