One way Germany responded to air attacks was by moving munitions facilities and high-value industrial plants underground (1).Some of these facilities were vast, encompassing miles of underground tunnels. They housed both the industrial means of war production and the workers themselves. The facilities at Nordhausen in Thuringia are well known as the site of production for the V-l and V-2, but there were others. The newly discovered underground complexes of the Jonas Valley south of Nordhausen in Thuringia constitute another vast complex (2)(3). This facility was to serve as a center of government and most probably a research center for advanced weaponry. This is also true for the many underground complexes in what is now Poland. Notable among these is a facility called "Der Riese" (The Giant). Der Riese served as a uranium mine, uranium processing facility, and research and development facility for secret weapons (4). Underground facilities for weapons production were found throughout Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia and Poland. Underground production facilities were also set up to refine synthetic petroleum products from coal and to generate electricity.


A mountain fortress or "Alpenfestung" was to be set up in the German held areas of Northern Italy, Austria and Germany in roughly the areas in which these countries converged with each other and Switzerland (7). A fortress was to be set up in the Harz Mountains of Thruingia including several large underground complexes. This would extend from Nordhausen in the north down through Kahla and into the Jonas Valley. Another similar fortress complex was scheduled for the Owl Mountains separating Poland from Czechoslovakia including "Der Riese" mentioned earlier (. Another fortress was to be set up in the Black Forest of Southern Germany. Other minor islands of resistance were to be set up in Norway, the Bohemian forest and the Bavarian forest (9).

(IN CONCLUSION WE CAN "ASSUME" AND IT IS A LARGE ASSUMPTION THAT WE WILL BE HEADING TO THE OWL MOUNTAINS OF POLAND EITHER NEXT OR SOMETIME IN THE GAME! BASED OFF OF THE RADIO TRANSMISSION SAYING THAT IT NEEDS TO REMAIN SAFE AT ALL COST'S! THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP IT SAFE IS TO SEND A TEAM IN RIGHT?)

There is also a map already for Der Riese above. Lots of square rooms could make an interesting zombie level. I CANT WAIT 2 KNOW WERE WE ARE GOING NEXT!

THE SITUATION WITHIN NAZI GERMANY


More Der Riese history:

From Hirschberg the disk was removed to a more secured underground location, which most likely, was called “er Riese” a Nazi complex in the nearby Gory Sowie mountains (now in southwest Poland), which was also a site being used for excavating for uranium ore. This complex had an extensive network of underground hangars, connected by tunnels. The bodies of the occupants and the living extraterrestrial were also moved into this complex. The alien that lived for a little bit over a month apparently supplied the Germans with some type of information and was desperately asking the Nazi medical doctors for help, but they could not help him because of the different biological structure of his body. The alien died from an unknown illness.

A few of my notes-

-In the texilion theory they mention "the giant" a lot and "Der riese" Means giant, a link maybe?

-This could be the last map pack as MW2 is coming out soon, and there may not be enough time for another, so the story could finish here.

Who cares if it's true, if Treyarch builds the new zombie level around these rumours it'll be an amazing map. I can't wait to play it!!!!

da next map is called zombie factory

zombies factory is not a true translation. i think zombie factory refers to the point where the zombies started... at a nazi experiment bunker- der reise.

treyarch is building the story around der reise. in fact, vosty3 and the telixion theory predicted der reise as being the next map about 2 weeks ago.

Well since Der Riese means the giant, then maybe its translated to mean the giant factory. just a theory
