I think that Dr. Richtofen has managed to suspend the 4 characters in 1 second of time, that's why at the bginning of the trailer, someone mentions feeling sick, and he explains it's just a side effect, this would also give a logical explanation for the teleporters, since if you can move through time then space is a peace of piss.

The aether that some other thread was going on about, could be the part of space they are stuck in (the space between spaces), or the fifth element etc.

But this is just my speculation, it seems a bit stupid to put teleporters in to the story when there is no logical explanation otherwise that would have been a big middle finger to those trying to figure out the story on behalf of treyarch.

This guy is talking about the clock in the courtyard so it could have to do with time travel

he is talking about the clock on the wall, at the beginning of the der reise trailer, the seconds hand is barely moving back and forth
