The hammer is a pick up called "Hammertime". When you get it, it rebuilds every window in Der Riese.

its pretty useful kuz it re builds all the barriers!

He says carpenter when you get it, but Treyarch called it Hammertime .

The Powerups are powerups and just that. You dont need to know their name to use them.

And so I'm not off topic: The hammer is a powerup that repairs all windows in Der Reise at the moment you get it. Get it at the end of the round with the last zombie and you get a quick repair of the map. It doesn't get you much points though. Just 200.
