(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey everyone,

I've recently been bored and I thought I'd spend time to help new-comers/people who are interested in joining or finding information about Boosting/Ranking Up by creating a Guide.
Afterall, I have never seen a Boosting/Rank Up Guide around here so, why not?

Here I will explain and teach you what Boosting/Rank Up is about and how to do it.

Bonus Information:
-Explanation about Microphones and Headsets.
-How to be a good Leader to your Clan.

Does Boosting/Rank Up mean the same thing?
Yes

What is Boosting/Rank Up?
Boosting/Rank Up is a quick way of leveling up. It is known to be the only fastest way to reach the level cap, 65. Especially during Double-XP weeks.
It saves a lot of time and hard work, but it decreases your skill in fighting since all you are doing is moving forwards and backwards to get points.

Is this proven to be the fastest way to level up?
Yes, it is because you are constantly gaining 15 (30 if Double-XP Week) Points every 3-5 seconds.

How long do they usually take?
It all depends on how quick/slow your group is at capturing and if they delay it at all. Because of this, I can't really say how long.

(I personally have never reached the highest Points you can get. I've only reached 2500XP max so I can't actually say how long it takes. For me it was roughly between 25-35 minutes though to get this far. )

How many Points do you earn?
If done properly, by the end of the match you will of reached atleast 3000-4000xp maybe even 5000xp in total if you are lucky and quick enough.

What Game-Type to Boost/Rank Up?
Core Domination.

How many people do you need?
12.

How many on each team?
6.

What happens if I kill someone?
You will most likely either be kicked out by the players after they end the match, or be killed by them while they curse at you and then kick you out after.

Why not capture A and/or C?
By the time you have ran to A or C and captured it, you would of already had double-worth of points if you had head straight to B. That is why no-one ever bothers with capturing them as it waste's time and points.

What if a player of the opposite Team is blocking us from capturing B?
If a player is blocking you from capturing B, then you can either Sprint at them so they know that they need to move out the way or shoot them in the foot/leg warning them to move. If they still do not move then you have the freedom to knife them. Never shoot them as a bullet could miss and shoot another opposite Team member, causing confusion and a chance to cause chaos which would end up ruining the boost/rank up.

What are the average Rules?
The obvious and most used Rules are..

1. No Killing
2. Head STRAIGHT to B.
3. Ignore A and C.
4. Throw away all explosive and gas grenades at the begining of each Match.
5. Whoever get's to B first, capture's first.

Different Clan Leader's have different Rules.
Some may allow you to keep your grenades for emergencies.
Some may allow you to shoot. (Not at players).
Some may allow you to kill your enemy straight away if they are blocking B.
Leader's have their own Rules. Rules are there for a reason. Follow them.

Do you have to have a Mic? (Microphone)
In most casual Boosting/Rank Up groups, no.
Some groups may require you to have a Microphone or a Headset so you/they can communicate quicker and easier.

Why not just use the Text Box in the PS3 Menu?
Texting from the Text Box take's way to long and the clicking get's tyring and boring. It take's a 'long' time for a message to get to one person from another. Especially if it is an emergency. It would be to much of a hastle and take to long.

How can I be a successful Leader?
You have to be very active online in order to keep atleast 12 people happy. If you are good enough and have a mediumish-sized Clan, then other people can also host Boosts/Rank Ups while you are offline. You will also need to recruit many people to keep the Clan wealthy and active. If you had enough free time on your hands, then a good idea would be to create a website just for you Clan only. This would bring discussions from all over your members, wether it be about tactics, recruiting, general discussion - anything. This would also bring Clan members closer to each other. You always have to keep people in line during the match, you cant just let them roam free doing their own stuff. They are there to boost, not mess around killing and exploring.

How can I recruit more people?
You can recruit more people by advertising on certain website's like this. Even Youtube would work. Not all website's allow advertising though so you will have to be careful and check before you do so.

Can I bring any Explosives into the Match?
Yes, you can unless your Leader orders you not to.
Explosives like grenades, bouncing betties, satchel charges and martydom are not allowed into Boosting/Rank Up matches because they can and will cause chaos if you set them down. Ruining the whole match for EVERYONE.

Can we go onto the tactics now?
Yes!

(I will set this layout in Steps since it is easier, clearer and simpler to see.
These steps are easy to follow, I will try to be specific as possible.
Note: This is not the only way you can get a Boost/Rank Up match started.)

Getting Ready

1. Start a Private Match.
2. Get 12 people in the match.
3. One person invites the bottom 6 people into the party. They must stay in the party for this to work.
4.After all 6 have accepted, back out and invite the top 6 people into the lobby.
5. Once the other 6 have entered the lobby, start a Core Domination game.
6. You must keep searching for an empty lobby so you can invite the other party into the game.
7. Once you find an empty lobby, quickly go to the party with the other people, and the second button will say 'Invite Players to Party'. When you press that button, a message will be sent to all 6 people in that party a game invite at the same time.
8. After the other party has joined, you can then start the Match!

Match Begin

9. (Optional) Make sure no Boost/Rank Up can be interrupted by someone who has any explosives. Such as Satchel Charges, Bouncing Betties and Martydom.
10. (Optional) A Perk that is recommended but not needed would be Juggernaut. This would be good incase anything from a grenade to martydom is blown. If an explosive blows then there is a chance of you still surviving and not missing any points while you resurrect and run back to B.
11. Once the Match begins, EVERYONE head straight to B. Ignore A and C.
12. When one team captures B, they move back.
13. The other team that doesnt capture B first, move in after it is captured.
14. Repeat 12 and 13.

By the end of the Match if done without any problems such as interruptions or delays, you will of ATLEAST gained 3000xp!

Congratulations! Smile^

The WHOLE of this Guide was made by only me, I did my own research.
I spent hours creating this Guide so I'll be happy if it actually helped some fellow NGUers!

I'm sure this helped new comers who didnt know anything about Boosting or Rank Ups until now.
If any questions are asked, I'll be sure to put them into this Thread along with the other Questions so others can also see.

I would edit this Thread regularly, but since it's a Boosting/Ranking Up Guide I have nothing to Update!

Well, thank you for reading and I hope you learnt something! Smile
