On the bottom-right end of someone's post, there will be a yellow thumbs up button that says 'Thanks'. Clicking it gives rep to the person.
You need a certain number of points to be able to click Thanks, if it shows up now then you can do it.

Like you could 'Thanks' me now for telling you how! :p
