(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So despite the many threads on this question, no one has ever really had a definitive answer to how to lock a lobby on CoD 5. I posted this in an older thread already, but i think that some people who could have used the information perhaps over looked it because of how far it was buried. Anyway, here is a list of the possible ways to lock a lobby on cod 5:

1. Upload a video to youtube or any other filesharing website: Not very effective as it must be cancelled before the game starts and you are therefore completely helpless if someone times out or something. However, it works great as far as getting the necessary people into the game lobby before the game actually starts, but you must fill the lobby if you dont want random people joining.
2. Lag switch method: If you go into a game with 6 people and back three out while lag switching with the correct timing, the game will sometimes lock up, and only people you invite can join.
3. Forward all the ports on your router to a non-existent ip address: This is my personal method, but it has its drawbacks. First, Once you enable the port forwarding rule, only the following can connect - people who are already in your party, other playstations that are on YOUR internet connection, and other playstations sharing the same internet connection as the friends in your party. In order to be used effectively therefore, it must be combined with a youtube upload to get the people into the game lobby, then enabled right before the game starts. If done right, it works like a charm. By the way i use a lynksis router for this because unlike many routers, it doesnt require you to reboot when enabling a port forwarding rule, which would sign you out.

Here is a screenshot of my router page to try to help you guys out with any confusion:

4. Just plain luck: This is the way most of the top boosters lock rooms - they just happen to have an isp that ends up spontaneously giving them locked lobbies. It sometimes happens after a certain sequence of people leaving the game, or even just as soon as they enter the game with a party, but whatever causes it, it works the best because no random people join, but everyone who is invited can.

BE SURE TO HIT THE THANK BUTTON IF THIS HELPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His connection does it randomly... he claims he built some control panel thing which is complete bs he just doesnt want people to know how he does it... the reason i know it is just his connection is because he cant lock it every time, he has to keep trying over and over until it just locks. the same is true with SoN1, his connection just does it randomly, which i have figured out just by observation and from him telling me himself that he actually has no idea how he locks it. believe me on that one, ive done a million killstreaks with SoN1 and he and i are good buds.

so if you have a good router like mine with QoS, and you plug in with an ethernet cable and start a youtube upload, it wont actually plug up your connection enough to force you to be host. in order for the youtube upload to work for me, i have to upload plugged into my modem with an ethernet cable and then i get host every time. so if you also have a modem in addition to your router, try plugging into that and see if it works. if it doesnt, theres not much you can do besides buying a new router, because this is completely hardware dependent. your router is trying to do you a favor by not letting you lag, its just too bad in this case lag is what we actually want...

I honestly dont know the exact combination of pulling the switch and having people back out that locks it. i have done it before accidentally and also other people have told me they could do it, but i never was able to figure it out down to specific details
