Post: original der riese map idea

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); alot of people know why i think der riese is a edited map from the original, i wont go into it hear, however i want to know what people think it might have been like before as im slowly making a 3d interactive map for what it would have been like and would like any idea's that are feasible, any help would be appreciated

what ive got so far (just giving you a brief description of idea's im looking into atm

we all know the loading map and teleport map (with the lightbulbs) are different from what we actually play

Area's / theories

The mainframe


This i doubt has changed since the beginning as all the trailers are pretty much the same



The alleys surrounding the outside of the mainframe (m1a1 sie and speed cola side)

The second zombie spawn room (nearest to the clock on m1a1 side) wasnt there, since it isnt on the map)

under the clock (the big shutters might have been able to be opened (dont see any point why atm tho)



Power Room

The magical second set of stairs near juggernog, they led down to the main floor, so you could get to and from the mainframe room without the need to turn the power on

ive always said the area to the right of hanging man was playable, there might be a slight possibility the fence (looking at teleporter C the turning right) wasnt there to begin with (although i think something else, il get to that in abit)


Teleporter A

seeing as people have brought up the missing wall in the trailer id like to make a point of saying it was the first trailer map before serious cuts as in the trailer released after this, the wall was intact

The shutters in teleporter A would have been able to be opened ( this is proved by the fact the shutters can be shot through (i.e animated) and the fact your characters body's glitch through them


Teleporter B

The shutters in the furnace room were able to be opened and access the now unplayable area to the right of hanging man

The area to the right of hanging man itself was most likely another building (not an open courtyard), this is proved by the fact there is a wall to the far right where a zombie barricade would have been but it is NOT level with the boundary map


Teleport C

The room in which quick revive is in could have possibly led to Dr maxis room originally (as hes room is of great important as HE created this whole zombie mess




miscellaneous

The four darkened areas on the teleport map


There is a possibility that there were all explorable, my theory for this is the fact that they would have had specific rooms/area's following shi no numa's success.

Main research Lab
Barracks/sleeping quarters
Kennels
kitchen



this also backs up the theory of the opening shutters as there is 1 near juggernog that would have led to 1 of the darkened area's


Edit:

2 other things that back this theory up is the fact there are switches on both sides of the electric barriers, as you can only go 1 way (usually) because of layout and teleporting, only 1 side is ever used

Second thing i want to change, is the area to the right of hanging man, i now dont think this was a building, i actually think it was an outdoor kennel area, which is why there a single wall with with an area for a zombie barrier

Those are some really good findings/guesses!!

MAYBE if there was actually a secret to activate,all of what you said could be unlocked or happen?

yeah, thats what got me thinking n decided to see what people thought, its just theories and guesses at this point, but its all we really have to go on as treyarch wont say anything

The teleporter b map has a 2nd set of stair parallel to the stairs leading down to betties/jug, but upon examination, I don't see how this could lead to anywhere helpful unless there was supposed to be another room up or down from near where the random box first spawns (from the upper part where the bridge is).

Also, there's this mysterious black box on the teleporter b map, if you were facing the jug machine, turn around 180 and go to that window, then turn right, seemingly nothing is there, but on the map, there is this black box. I've looked and looked but can't find anything significant about it. So maybe it was like some kind of connecting place to another area? Or something. All speculation.

i noticed the black box on teleporter b map too, however it is only on that map, so i dont think its anything other than a graphical glitch or something was taken out
