Post: Few pointers to get you to a higher level

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); After playing for a while, I have noticed few things that I think I should mention. I seen a few threads descussing strategies but nothing regarding this. So here are my little pointers and advice to all Der Riese players, which I think should not be missed or mistakes that you dont want to make. Hopefully it helps everyone to get up to a higher level.

- Please DO NOT take someone elses window, we all need to get more points. And you running around is not saying that you are better, just showing who is the jerk and selfish. Besides if you are running around, then who is watching that one window? Next thing you know zombies will get in and attack your teammate.
- First few levels try to use less pistol and more granades and a knife. Unless if you get 2x points.
- If you get max ammo then you can start using pistol, knife and granade.
- Open a door where Thompson gun is, it reloads faster and shoots better then Trench Gun.
- I stay in main room for first 7 levels, get more kills.
- After getting Thompson, next item on your list should be Juggernaut, then Speedcola and Random Box. Thompson is good for up to level 11.
- DO NOT be a Hero, this game was designed to stay together aka teamwork. Because if you are down, you letting your teammates down and if someone runs to revive you and they go down, now that would just screw everything up.
- Once all teleporters connected and you stay upstairs by the Teleporter B, thats great. But make sure you are shooting too or we all die. There is no where to run so keep shooting!
- Please dont camp by the window upstairs, its vertually impossible to watch window and behind your back.
- Using flamethrower is great, but DONT use it in front of you. How do you expect to see anything in front of you when there is fire everywhere??
- Player with Wanderwaffe, should only shoot at the bottom of the stairs, NOT in front of you. You will either die or its going to be a miss OR not a use of its potential.
- If you are low on ammo then buy more, dont expect your teammates do all the work.
- Regarding my last point, if you cant get a good gun, then by Thompson, MP40 or Type 100 of the wall and PAP it. Make sure this gun is easily accessible to you, because you can still buy ammo even if its upgraded for 4500 points.
- Once electric fence is activated you can still walk through it with Juggernaut without dying. Also I believe you can walk by the side of fence closer to the wall as possible.
- If you are low on ammo, then the game is telling you to get out of that spot and run to the teleporter, BUT make sure your teammates are following you.
- I had a problem when someone was either using a fence or a teleporter, then guess what Im stuck with 50 zombies behind my back, because teleporters are cooling down, what about me??
- I seen someone running from one teleporter to the other one, which is not a bad strategy in my opinion, but have you thought that zombies will meet you half way??
- Staying upstairs is not a bad strategy for maybe up to level 25 at most, after that use a different strategy that involves running together!
- Personnaly I think Flamethrower is a good gun, because once PAPed it works like a charm and no ammo involved. BUT you have to know how to run and shoot at the same time.
- Once again, this game is made for TEAMWORK!

I hope this helps and have fun in Der Riese!

BTW Anyone noticed how Trayarch is having a sale 50% their map packs untill Nov1, that means New Map pack is coming out either Nov 1 or first week of November, very excited!Happy

Climbing up the ladder
Nice, i hate people who think they are godly cause they got the ray gun and jump off the blacony and get swarmed, personally i go the tench gun way, buy juggernaut and stay on bridge with someone else holding the double tap windows, i buy jug, fast reload and double tap, its really good with the trench gun and you can "run and gun" with it so when things are going bad and your overun, you can jump off and you have a good chance of staying alive.

Good effort with the advice...some good pointers although some are just common sense and maybe some players should just solo it if they think they can handle it all by themselves..personally i don't like flame because it takes too long to kill but thats without being pNp as well as obstructing other players sight on incoming zombies..

I thought they are reducing the prices to 50%, not because of a new map pack coming out but because of MW2 being released on the 10th because then COD5 will have lost so many players due to people playing more MW2, no doubtly. So Treyach will try to increase thier sales as much as possible to make max amount of cash in the upcoming days..i could be wrong...btw have u realised that the sale is now only open to North America lmho...i have all of them anywayz so idc

This is good, there is 4 people playing and those other 3 should be able to hold a one way stairway and if they can't they should not be playing this game.

Same thing applies to solo, except camping part. I only camp for few levels, up to level 18 solo. Then its run and shoot.
Best strategy for solo is to run to Teleporter B, teleport, then run to thompson area, go upstairs to double tap room, hold up as many as you can, then jump down, and use fly trap then go back to the teleporter B. And repeat untill you die.

Yes, this is very good strategy in the very high rounds because by the time you reach 30, you're going to be doing it a lot. After you teleport, head to the one on the right and try to wait for the horde as much as you can so that way when you teleport again you just head for the one on the left. I did that by myself for three rounds in a row, and no one fellows you, instead they upgrade the colt and die before they get it.

If you ever manage to get that far, the Wunderwaffle is the key to survival because Ray Guns begin to take three or so shots to die a single zombie. This is about the time SOMEONE should have the Flamethrower, the only time when it's useful.

I realize after awhile this begins to drain your points, but they WILL NOT meet you halfway. I'm sure you could find youtube videos on that strategy, why do you think it's bad though? Oh...random people usually screw everyone over or they don't do it right. So, I can see why if that's the case.
