Just to answer your question, you can't have the infections stay FOREVER unless you are using a hacked PS3. You would just have to join a challenge lobby every time you wanted infections because they reset when you quit MW2 or restart your PS3.

yh can keep infections
but what u could do is find some one who has the patch and do data transfer so u will have the modded patch but u will loose all other data
i think there is a guy on ebay selling something like that
