insted of taking your 500gb to a trade in store are you able to re use it? place itback into your ps4 without having to automatically reformat it like the ps3 did?
so taking a old out and putting a new in then taking the new out and placing the old one back.

of what? putting the old 500 gig hd back in the ps4? its the same as taking it out.

i know it will work as i forgot to sync my trophies that i got on my old hd. so i had to take the new one back out and put the old one back in to get them synced

You can grab that for your PC and do a dual-boot or something like that.
