will this allow the airflow to get through or will it still restrict it.

You could try standing it up for awhile and if things don't go smoothly you could just lay it flat again?

i need to be sure because i want to purchase another monitor and theres not enough space with the console laying flat.

You could try asking some irl friends or don't buy the monitor until your safe and secure with it being stood up

I have had mine standing up since day one of release and it's fine. The system doesn't get hot so wtf are you doing to cause yours to get hot? I can play a game for a few hours, and watch movies on Netflix which I have done several times and when I touch the back, it's warm. Not really warm, but a nice warmth. :dumb:

just play games and it gets very warm then i usually open a window to get cool air in.

I heard about PS4 having problems standing up... idk but i think that is for xbox lol

Mine ps4 is standing...i use the original sony vertical stand.....no problems no heat
