Post: Does the DS4 work without a battery?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); if i removed the battery from my dualshock 4 and kept the charging cable in permantley to power it. would it work?

I can't say for sure if it will work...But I'm 98% sure as it has power flowing to it however it might need the battery in.

If you are opening up the controller and have a spare DS3 lying around put that battery in I've heard people getting around 14/15 hours on there DS4 once this is done. If you don't have a spare DS3 lying about check ebay - you could probably pick up a broken DS3 for around $2/$3 just harvest the battery out of it :P

I don't think it is possible without batteries. Why do you need the batteries out anyways haha.

i dont know lol. i have a problem with built in batteries. i know it wont go bad for years but i just dont like them.

id prefer for there to be no battery and have to keep the cable in 24/7 than keep the battery in lol.


im the same with headsets. i would never buy a headset if it has built in batteries.
