(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, im trying to figure out on how to fix my nat type on my ps4 it bounces between type 3 and through out the day, i have a netgear router, n i cant go dmz because we have 5 consoles in my home, 4 are wireless and 1 is wired and i cant do the wired because the router is upstairs. But on bo3 it is strict at all times, and for other games it affects my game chat and sometimes lag, but i have tried upnp n ive tried port forwading, so of theirs anything else i can try let me know because i am stummped on how to try to fix this issue

Well, if you can do port forwarding or at least attempted to you should be able to put your router into DMZ which is highly recommended regardless of the number of devices connected as it adds additional security.

Could be a network speed problem. The ps4 uses different ports that need to be opened. If u tried dmz and that didn't do it. It's more of a speed and ping issue. Think of it Like this. I used to get 5 mbps download and 1 mbps upload. And I had a range of semi high ping. I always got Nat type 3 and Shit connection in cod. But I recently moved and now I get higher speeds and better connection I use upnp. And get open Nat type in most games. Bo3 can tell u your ping and so can internet speed tests. You want that to be low, the lower the better. I wouldn't put your whole router in dmz that can be dangerous. If you can access the settings of your router try setting the firewall to low . As the routers firewall can block some ports for security reasons. And if you have other settings like ip flood detection disable that as well. Also if u have many devices on ur internet. Have you tried giving your system a static ip. So reguardless if you system is on and connected or off and not connected. It has and gets the Same ip that no other devices can interfere with.. ex. Setting the ip to something like 192.168.3.46. As an example. That way it always gets that ip instead of requesting for one that might get given to a different device. One last thing
If you live in a city or town. Try changing the routers broadcasting channel to one that is free. You can change it in the router settings. And usually you can scan for other routers in your area to try and see which channel is free
