how does this work? to the best of my knowledge im assuming this takes a USB drive and downloading something then putting it onto the ps4?

At this very moment, you can't do gamesaves nor bruteforce them. I heard a few games can be transferred by a USB, but for the most part there is currently no way to get saves.

Well some games can be savehacked using the PlayStation cloud system, such as Sound Shapes (would give you 6 plats altogether) and Motorstorm RC, and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, but otherwise, you would have to be able to resign a gamesave to your account, and load the game. As far as I'm aware, there can be instant saves, which give all the trophies, as well as save sets, which allow for earning individual trophies. Gamesave resigning is not possible at the time, therefore, trophy hacks on PS4 is not possible, except through the three games I mentioned (though there are more....)
