I have the same internet connection but I moved house and I set it up and now the media player finds my pc and folders but in the video folders they just appear to be empty and that is where all my movies are on my pc. It says 'there is no playable media' I don't know how to fix this issue and ive searched everywhere. Can anybody help please. Its really frustrating.

I found a solution for you off the internet. Try this:

Here is a step by step process on how to do it and this was on windows 8.1

1. Go into PC settings

2. Click Networks

3. Click the network wifi router you are using

4. Look for something that says "Find Devices and Content" and turn that ON

5. Go back to network and now click on "Home Group"

6. On "Home Group" page, turn on Music, Videos, and Pictures.

7. When you switched Music, Videos, and Pictures to ON, you also want to turn ON a sentence that says 'Let devices on this network (like TV's and Game Consoles) stream my music and videos".

8. If you did all of this in the proper step's Media Player should see your PC and then you can play your music and video.

i did all of the above steps. folders are there but no media in the folder. Media Play can see my pc and folders I tried downloading music and testing it out on them folders but even that it says 'there is no playable media'

Try this out, this should work

You need to create a folder called PS4 on the root of your drive, and then another subfolder called VIDEO, and then dump your movies there. I only tried it with one mp4 last night and it worked.

I'm off ps4 now because of this issue. I am back on the PS3.
PS4 is a piece of crap.
