My system had auto update and is on 4.06, i assume since there have been all of these exploits so far, working or patched. That there might be a downgrade method, software or hardware in order to go back. Is it even possible atleast? If so, can someone share.

No, not as of now. Cobra had been working on the Black Fin for Vita. With the recent patch to Vita, excitement is starting to die down, and maybe their team will look into downgrading or limited modding options. (This is conjecture from what we've seen of Cobra ODE on PS3.)

Specifically only Non-Retailed Testkits can be downgraded. No PS4 Pros can't be downgraded. Don't really know the trick/way to do it, but just know you can. Here's some more back knowledge on this topic for you to understand. PS4 Developer SC58 gave me some few facts a while ago on this downgrading topic.

To roughly quote SC58: "if you have a pro testkit and it comes on 3.70 you won't be able to downgrade lower then 3.70, it just like ps3 dech 2k,3k,4k etc

there is already different ps4 models of testkit released that people have that can't downgrade to some fw cause the model it is, but yes any testkit can downgrade or update."

If you have a PS4 running on 1.76 or below, just stay on the lowest firmware that you can as an opinion.
