I want to keep it on the lowest possible firmware but also want to get on the network. What would be the best solution... update to the next firmware to get on the network or leave it at 4.01? Or is there another solution?

Buy another ps4, one for upstairs one down, i havent updated my downstairs one in months, no longer have the need to, swap as and when

I already have another PS4 with the current firmware. I just don't want to update the firmware on this one. If I could get on the PSN with the 4.01, this thread wouldn't exist. That's my point.
