A couple of my mates use Sony Vegas Pro 9 for editing and linked me a youtube video that they used to get it for free using a 'Keygen'. (So you dont need to pay £400)

But im Major paranoid about viruses/malware, cos I got my dads laptop one last year and MESSED it right up & he had to get a new one. Now ive got a brand new laptop of my own, and dont want it fecked! Im going to be honest. I couldnt tell you who/what a Keygen is. Ive watched the video and it seems pretty straight forward on how to do it and about 3 or 4 of my mates have used the exact same video and they dont have viruses. Just that black looking interface of the Keygen looks likea' "download me, so I can molest your comeputers harddrive!"

Your probs thinking "What you worried about then, if they dont have one?" But im thinking - maybe not now but in a couple of weeks you might get a virus SOMEHOW. idk. Or something might get in :p Its just too good to be true if you really think about it. Saving yourself £400 and it being virus free. WTF!
Is there anyway I could tell if its safe.. or has anyone else had it for a while, and been alright?

If it's a .RAR or .ZIP file then you can download it and virus scan it without being at risk.
If not, then your best bet would be for somebody to test it.

both files are .exe. My mates have it, say its alright and have scanned it and told me nothing has been found with norton. If it was a virus, could it say that no virus has been found, but there really is one. Its just too good to be true

I've used keygens in the past, just not this one.
I've saved thousands on editing programs.
